Storke Pet Loss Center & Faithful Friend Pet Cemetery Presents
Beloved Pets Ofrenda for Dia de Muertos.

Join us at the Faithful Friend Pet Cemetery, located within Historyland Memorial Park & Arboretum on Saturday November 2nd from 10 am till noon, as we celebrate Dia de Muertos (Day of the dead) for our pets. Pet loss is a devastating experience which causes deeply felt and long-lasting grief for all those affected. The event hopes to bring together people suffering from grief associated with pet loss and will feature the crafting of a Pet Ofrenda in our Faithful Friends Garden to honor the deceased. An Ofrenda is an alter that is filled with photos, flowers, and candles dedicated to the memory of departed loved ones during the Mexican Dia de Muertos celebration. For our community Pet Ofrenda, we ask that you send a photo and name of your pet that you would like included, along with any stories you would wish to share about your pets. Additionally, a marigold seed packet and pet friendly Frisby will be provided for each guest who makes an RSVP.

This event is located at Historyland Memorial Park and Arboretum, 11227 James Madison Pkwy King George, Va 22485 and is free and open to everyone. However, we do strongly encourage that you RSVP by calling (540) 775-7733 or emailing [email protected] so we can provide celebration packets to each participating family. Please send in pet photos and names to [email protected] no later than October 30th so they can be included in the Ofrenda. We also encourage you to bring your leashed pets along with you but ask that you please clean up after them.
