Pet Tributes

Our hearts are shattered as we say goodbye to Maggie, our perfect baby
girl, our heart and soul, our whole world, wrapped up in 20 beautiful
pounds of the softest fur, warmth and love.

We are struggling to learn how to live without her. She was our
purpose. The mornings, afternoons, evenings and especially bedtimes
are so much harder without her. We will forever long for and miss
everything about her – the sight of her, her smells and her sounds.
The house is impossibly quiet without her.

Maggie wasn’t a pet. From the moment she came into our lives as a
2.5 pound, 16 week old bundle of love – 17 years ago – she was our
baby – our heartbeat. She filled our home with joy, our lives with
purpose and our hearts with a kind of love so deep and so pure, that
it simply defies words.

Maggie had so much innocence and such boundless energy. She was oh so
curious and had a extraordinary zest for life. She never met a
stranger and everyone who met her – fell in love with her instantly.
She offered not only us – but everyone she met – unconditional love.
One of her admirers noted – she had a way of looking straight into
your soul.

Every day with Maggie was a gift. Her eyes held the gentlest wisdom.
Her presence brought instant joy and peace. She always knew when to
snuggle even closer and how to make us laugh.

There was never a day that she wasn’t perfect to us. Our arms ache
with the emptiness she left behind and our hearts are heavy with love,
not regret – we tried our best to give her everything and she gave us
so much more.

Rest now sweet Maggie. Run where your legs are young again and you
can always find the perfect sun spot.

You are – and always will be – our everything. We love you and will
miss you every day for the rest of our lives.
