Pet Tributes

On September 30, 2025 around 2:50pm, I lost my best friend of 16 years, my world completely changed in less than week. From the moment I heard the news and knew we couldn’t save him, to the moment we said our final goodbye, I knew nothing would ever be the same. Teddy Bear was the love of my life; I loved him from the moment I saw him amongst all his siblings. I remember choosing him out and naming him Sunshine, thankfully ended up with the name Teddy Bear. Teddy Bear, the name fit him so well, he would always cuddle with me and show me love but wasn’t afraid to show the bear side to anyone/thing he didn’t care for. My little feisty boy.

Teddy showed me a kind of love that I never knew existed, he brought me more joy and happiness than he could ever know. Teddy has been by my side as I made my way through my teenage years all the way into adulthood. He was there through so many life events, the good and the bad ones. He traveled the world with us, exploring different states and countries, creating memories that we will forever cherish.

I know Teddy is somewhere better, a place where he is free from any of his ailments and his body no longer holding him back. I would clean up his accidents, change his diapers, do all the things I dreaded if it means having him with us again. I will forever treasure the 16 beautiful years he gave me and always wish I had more.

Teddy was and forever will be one of the best things that happened to me, I will always love that chunky little ball of fur and look forward to the day I get to be with him once again.
