Pet Tributes

Sweet little Sam was truly his mama’s shadow for almost 10 years. Sam traveled with the family and 2 of his brothers Otto and Bentley to the beach through the years. His wirehair disposition made him a total clown, and he brought joy and laughter to not only us but everyone he met.
Even through Sam had back issues that left him unable to walk he stayed strong and persevered through to be able to run and play again. Over the past 15 months he has struggled with a chronic gut disease that required his mom and him to travel every month from Colonial Beach to Richmond to Partner Veterinary Emergency and specialty care to receive treatment every month. Everyone there loved Sam and he loved them.
Sam was a constant companion to his mom Robin and supported her through many tough times. They were a team.
Over the past few months, he loved taking walks riding in his stroller to look at the water and the birds. He never stopped trying to keep up with his brothers in an occasional zoomie match.
Sam held a special place in many hearts especially his mom, dad and brothers.
There is a void there that never will be filled. He fought hard and went through so much, but we know now that he is running free and happy without illness or obstacle.
Rest east sweet boy and run like the wind and eat all the treats.
We’ll love you forever and we’ll see you again.
